My Japan stay....

I was a woman in my mid twenties who was often alone. I have some great memories of the people there! I do not want to come off like I didn't have a good time. I did have a wonderfully good time while I was in Japan.




Openly staring at my every move, no smiling. I understand that they were curious, but sometimes it would feel hostile. This was in Odawara. I stayed for 90 days. Lived in a regular neighborhood in small home and lived as the Japanese do......tried to at least.


Sometimes I just stayed inside all day. Overall, the people were very polite. Store clerks were rude to me too. Well, mainly this one clerk at the grocery store I went to daily.
